Are 'Sardars' really so stupid?

I deleted this post because I thought it was stupid.

  1. Puru, I don't agree at all. Your statements are so ludicrous I wonder if you are joking!!

Though I recognize that I might not understand saying this completely, I take it to mean that leaves only move IF BLOWN. The blow-hards who repeat broad generalizations are, in fact, willing Sardars to fit their descriptions. If nobody blew the Sardars, or the Jews, or blonds in that direction... you must admit, maybe those leaves would not move in that direction--if you tell someone that they are stupid, and if you tell them this repeatedly, they may eventually believe you.

Have you ever heard of the Pygmalion effect?

  3. Chris,

You have good points to offer. I had to look up about the Pygmalion effect, but I see what you are getting at.
I knew this article would draw criticisms because that is how I have written this. I do not necessarily mean all sardars or all other stereotypes can represent respective groups of people but I wrote this one because there is a guy I know who is very very stupid. I agree with you that I can't use him to generalize the whole group though.
I am glad you disagreed and were honest.
